Cabinet secretaries who scored below one per cent - Poll

 

Investments, Trade and Industry CS Moses Kuria has been ranked among the worst-performing Cabinet Secretaries.

In poll results released on Thursday by Tifa, Kuria is among the CSs in President William Ruto's regime who were ranked the lowest.

The Trade CS together with three other CSs were given one per cent score.

The others include Aden Duale ( Defence), Eliud Owalo ( ICT), Njunguna Ndung'u ( Treasury) and Musalia Mudavadi (Prime Cabinet Secretary).

However, other members of the cabinet were given a score of four per cent.

They include  Simon Chelugui (Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, MSMEs), Davis Chirchir (Energy and Petroleum), Alfred Mutua (Foreign Affairs), Alice Wahome (Water, sanitation and irrigation) and Salim Mvurya (Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs).

Others are Soipan Tuya (Environment and Forestry), Aisha Jumwa (Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action), Rebecca Miano (East African Community, Arid and Semi-Arid Lands and Regional Development), Peninah Malonza (Tourism and Wildlife ), Zacharia Njeru (Lands, Housing and Urban Development), Mithika Linturi (Agriculture ) and Florence Bore (Labour and Social Protection).

1,530 respondents were interviewed between June 24 and June 30, 2023.

The sample was spread across nine regions which include Central Rift, Coast, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift and Western.

The interviews were conducted over the telephone.

There was a +/- 2.5 % margin of error.    BY THE STAR
