Youth Affairs, Sports, and Arts Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba has appointed several celebrities, sports personalities, and famous Kenyans in the creative industry to positions in newly formed committees in his Ministry.
In an announcement about the formation of a Talanta Hella Initiative, a gazette notice shows Carol Radull and Daniel Ndambuki will chair respective committees on creatives and Sports technical committees.
A Creatives Technical Committee has been formed that according to available details will be chaired by Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki for a period of three years.
Members to this new committee include; Akinyi Odongo, Jimmi Gathu, Catherine Kamau, Esther ‘Akothee’ Kokeyo, Kizito Makhande, Azziad Nasenya, Rosemary Wahu Kagwi, Awadhi Salim Awadhi, Douglas Kipkirui, and Langat Susan Ekasiba.
Dennis Itumbi, Kizito Wangalwa, David Langat, Debra Mallowah, Abraham Kipyego Mutai Charles Gacheru, Claudia Naisabwa Leshomoo, Nobert Ouma, and June Chepkemei have been appointed as members in another newly formed Talanta Hela Council, which will be chaired by the CS, for a period of three years.
The Sports Technical Committee has also been set up, and will be chaired by media journalist Carol Radull. Members in Radull’s committee include Boniface Ambani, Julius Kiplagat Yego, Neddy Kutsuru, Alfred Makotsi, Sammy Tiyoi Shollei, Collins Kale, Kevin Mutai, Shilovelo Winna Shilavula, Daniel Nakeor Losiru, and Staicy Shariffa Ochieng running for a period of three years.
