Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has lost his elder brother, Jack Reriani.
He died on Saturday evening, September 24, 2022.
The Star has established that Reriani fell sick at his Mathira home and rushed to Jamii Hospital in Karatina.
However, he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The late Reriani was the only surviving brother to Gachagua after the passing of the former Nyeri Governor Nderitu Gachagua back in 2017, and that of James Reriani Gachagua in May this year.
Gachagua said in a statement on Sunday that his brother’s death has left him shattered.
“The news of your passing hit me hard. I now remain alone among the sons of Kirigo,” he said on his official Facebook page.
Leaders led by Speaker of the Senate Amason Kingi sent their condolences to the DP.
‘My sincere condolences to our Deputy President, following the demise of his eldest brother MR JACK RERIANI. You and your family are in our prayers during this moment of grief,’ he said. BY THE STAR
