Ukraine releasees evacuation hotline for those wishing to leave

Ukraine’s foreign affairs minister Dmytro Kuleba has announced that they have established a hotline for international students who wish to leave Ukraine.

“We have established an emergency hotline for African, Asian and other students wishing to leave Ukraine because of Russia's invasion. We are working intensively to ensure their safety and speed up their passage.” Kuleba tweeted.

He further said that Russia must stop its aggression stating that it is affecting everyone.

The hotline issued is +380934185684.

On Wednesday, 600 Indian students landed in New Delhi from Poland where they had fled to seek refuge from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The invasion has forced one million Ukrainians to leave their homes.

The majority of those fleeing citizens are seeking refuge in Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary and Moldova with a small number heading to Russia and Belarus.

It has been a week since Russia first attacked Ukraine on Thursday, February 24, 2022

The attack on Ukraine began early Thursday morning last week, with multiple missiles, air raids and invasions from north, south and east that appeared to be targeting Ukraine’s capital Kyiv and Kharkiv and Kherson.

“Russia refuses to use the terms war or even invasion; many of its leader's justifications for it were false or irrational,” BBC reported.    BY THE STAR
