Axed politician records dirty deals in blackmail attempt

An influential politician who was recently unceremoniously kicked out of his position is a man on a mission. Months after removal from power, the man has started making phone calls to the people he had accused of orchestrating his ouster. He has also reached out to about 11 juniors. While the man’s motives and sudden change of heart were initially not known, it has emerged he has been recording their conversations and sending them to influential people in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s (pictured) circles. A mole discloses he has sent the conversations in which they discussed the rot at the agency he used to lead. The officers are now worried the axe may soon fall on them.

An ‘untouchable’ CEC in Western has set tongue wagging among his colleagues in the county after he declined to attend a cabinet meeting in his boss’s home. The county boss had convened the meeting in his rural home. However, the man said to be enjoying the blessings of the who's who in the region’s politics, gave the meeting a wide berth. Shockingly, he sent a message to the governor, stating that he would not discuss county matters in "a private home." Those who attended the meeting divulged the county boss was thoroughly infuriated. But, apparently, he cannot fire the officer whom he was made to appoint by his political godfather.

Panic has gripped a section of MCAs in a populous county after a colleague threatened to expose their dirty dealings after a deal went sour. The vocal ward rep has been isolated after he demanded ‘a bigger share’ of proceedings of a recent deal in which they made millions of shillings. He has threatened to expose the deal in which millions of taxpayers’ money was lost. Recently, he cancelled a press conference he had called after his colleagues prevailed on him. He has now threatened to petition the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to probe the matter if not granted his wishes.

An outgoing ODM governor is negotiating for a national government slot for his potential challenger for a parliamentary seat in the forthcoming general elections. The county boss sees the man as his strongest opponent and has been holding talks with him to accept a slot he is negotiating for him in the national government. The governor is said to be keen to land the parliamentary seat upon the expiry of his term next year. He intends to use the position to land a Cabinet slot should the BBI Bill pass through at the referendum.   BY THE STAR
