Reeves bar manager stabbed on the neck, stomach over unpaid bill

 

The manager of Reeves Bar in Nyamira County was stabbed in the neck, left hand and stomach on Friday night over an unpaid bill.

A police report seen by Citizen Digital said there was a dispute over payment after an unknown reveller was served with drinks at the bar.

“The reveller was running away in regard to the payment and the manager (Bavon Ogoti Lazarus) decided to follow him down the stairs but in return he became violent and assaulted him then ran away,” the report reads.

Officers from Keroka Police Station visited the scene and established that the manager had sustained serious injuries.

He was to Medistop medical facility and then referred to Christomarian Private Hospital in Kisii where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body was moved to Kisii Level Six Hospital awaiting autopsy.

Efforts to trace the assailant are underway with the case now under the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
