Principal Magistrate Elvis Michieka is dead, Chief Justice David Maraga has announced.
Michieka died at Karen hospital where he was receiving treatment for the past two weeks.
In a statement on Wednesday, Maraga said Michieka was a dedicated judicial officer who rendered his services with exceptional diligence.
“Just last month he was interviewed for promotion and has been awaiting the results of the exercise,” he said.
“I wish to express my heartfelt condolences to the family.”
