Private gun holder arrested after shooting three in his Ngong yard

 

A private gun holder was on Monday evening arrested after he shot and injured three people in a confrontation over timber at his yard along Ngong Road, Nairobi.

Police said they confiscated the pistol used in the shooting from the man to help them in their investigations.

This was after he shot and injured the three men in a confrontation at about 3 pm.

Two of the men had been sent to the yard to pick up timber when the owner who is a licensed gun holder turned on them accusing them of picking wrong materials.

After the shooting, a mob confronted the gun holder accusing him of injuring the victims wrongly as police arrived there.

The mob turned on police and pelted them with stones before they were dispersed and scene secured.

The victims were rushed to hospital where they are recuperating while the gun holder is under probe.
