Four suspects who were arrested while in possession of giraffe meat will face a Garissa court today.
The four were arrested in Ijara with the bush meat.
“Officers from Kenya Wildlife Service, Northern Rangelands Trust and the Director of Criminal Investigations recovered 150 kgs of giraffe meat after the four suspects were arrested,” read a statement from KWS.
The statement further indicated that the suspects were found in possession of hunting tools and a motorcycle.
They were held at Masalani Police Station over the weekend awaiting to be charged today (Monday).
