Dele Alli breaks his silence on ‘horrible experience’ after assaulted by knife-wielding thugs

England international Dele Alli has thanked his Twitter followers for sending messages of support after he was attacked by two knifemen who robbed his £2million home.
The 24-year-old Tottenham midfielder was punched in the face after being threatened by two masked intruders armed with knives in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Alli was with his girlfriend Ruby Mae at the time as the robbers made off with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, including expensive watches.
Alli tweeted: "Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we're all okay now. Appreciate the support."
Tottenham's official Twitter accounted responded: "We're with you Dele".
The club added: "We have been offering our support to Dele and those isolating with him. We encourage anyone with any information to help the police with their investigation to come forward."
It's understood that Alli and his adopted brother Harry Hickford, 24, were both attacked and suffered facial injuries during the burglary.
Dele, Ruby Mae, Harry, and Harry's girlfriend have been sharing the property in Barnet, north London during lockdown, along with a fifth person who is a friend of the group - all of whom were believed to be present at the time of the incident.
Both couples were playing cards when the break-in occurred, but police are yet to determine how the robbers gained access to the property.
It is unclear whether the £65,000 Audemars Piguet timepiece that Alli owns is among the items that have been stolen.
"The two men were both carrying knives and threatened them and wanted to know where they could find the valuables," a source close to the star told the Mirror.
"They took a load of jewellery and watches which are extremely valuable.

"Dele was assaulted, he was punched in the face as he tried to put up a fight with the men and a struggle ensued.
"Harry got involved and was also injured."
One of the watches stolen is believed to be worth £850,000.
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said no arrests had been made and inquiries were ongoing.
A spokesman added: "Police were called at approximately 12.35am on Wednesday, May 13, to reports of a robbery at a residential address.
"Two males gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches, before fleeing.
"Two male occupants at the property suffered minor facial injuries after being assaulted. They did not require hospital treatment.
"There have been no arrests. Enquiries into the circumstances continue."
The latest raid comes two months after fellow Tottenham player Jan Vertonghen's family was robbed at knifepoint while he was away on Champions League duty.
Vertonghen was part of the squad that travelled to Germany for the last-16 second leg with RB Leipzig in March when four thieves wearing balaclavas raided his home.
They were armed with knives, but Vertonghen's wife and two children were unharmed.
