The founder Vice Chancellor of Masinde Muliro University Prof. Barasa Wangila is dead.
Prof. Wangila died while undergoing treatment at Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu County.
In a statement, Prof Kubasu Kwashe Mwene- the Secretary General, UASU MMUST Chapter, indicated that the late Professor has been ill for a while.
“We have received with shock the sad news of the passing on of Prof Barasa Wangila , who has been sick at the Aga Khan hospital, Kisumu,” said Prof. Mwene.
“On behalf of the Universities’ Academic Staff Union, UASU MMUST Chapter which he helped to establish, union members and on my own behalf, I wish to convey heartfelt condolences to the family , relatives and friends,” he added.
