A police officer is nursing serious injuries after she was attacked and stabbed several times by an unknown person on Sunday morning in Kayole, Nairobi.
Ms Caroline Waithera was returning home just after midnight when she was confronted by the assailant outside her house, police said.
The assailant stabbed her on the head, chest and shoulder with a kitchen knife, which was found on her veranda by police officers after members of the public reported the incident.
Police said they are yet to establish the motive of the attack.
Ms Waithera was taken to Mama Lucy Hospital.
Police have launched investigations.
