Fire destroyed a hostel in Kabianga University, Kericho County, on Saturday night, but no casualties were reported.
It started at the uppermost floor of the four storey building called Hostel Six, which houses about 600 students.
Public Relations Officer Nicholas Langat said the fire has been contained before it got to the third floor.
“All students and workers are safe. There are no casualties at all,” he said.
