A courtroom in Kisii descended into chaos on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, after a woman fainted upon hearing that the man in the dock had been secretly living in the attic of her home for nearly two years without her knowledge.The woman, a retired schoolteacher residing in Jogoo Estate, Kisii Town, had taken the man to court over allegations of theft and harassment, only for the suspect to admit to a far more disturbing claim during his defence.
Appearing before Principal Magistrate Maureen Wekesa, the accused, identified as John Mokaya, shocked everyone when he said he had been staying in the attic of the complainant’s house since late 2023 and would only come down when she was away or asleep.To readmore,click here
