Bien Drums Support for Harambee Stars After Surprise Visit Ahead of CHAN

Kenyan musician Bien Aimé Baraza, best known for being part of the award-winning band Sauti Sol, paid a surprise visit to the Harambee Stars training camp at Kasarani Stadium.

The visit came just days before Kenya’s opening game at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“All our enemies are suffering!” Bien and the players chanted in a video shared online

Bien met the players, offered words of encouragement, and extended a personal invitation to attend his first solo homecoming concert.

Kenya vs DR Congo — Match Tickets Sell Out

Fans have already shown massive support. Tickets for Kenya’s opening match against DR Congo are sold out, just days after organisers confirmed there would be no match-day sales for safety reasons.

Ticket Prices:

Regular – KSh 200

VIP – KSh 500

VVIP – KSh 1,000

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) announced on Sunday, underlining the growing excitement across the country.

Kenya’s group-stage games will all be played at Kasarani Stadium, with Nyayo National Stadium on standby as a backup venue.

Morocco, two-time CHAN champions, were the first team to land in Nairobi.

They’ll be facing DR Congo, the other nation with two CHAN titles, in the group stage.

The tournament will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, marking a historic collaboration among East African nations.

Bien’s Support Beyond Football

Bien’s influence isn’t limited to the pitch. Kenyan comedian DJ Shiti recently praised him for offering crucial support during a difficult personal period.

“Bien, thank you so much for giving me a chance to stand again. You gave me space, love, and support when I needed it most. It felt like a new beginning, like being born again.” DJ Shiti in a heartfelt message on Instagram

The comedian revealed that Bien, along with fellow entertainer Eddie Butita, helped him rebuild and refocus.
