William Ruto Drives Himself from State House to KICC to Flag Off 2024 WRC Safari Rally Kenya

 

President William Ruto has driven himself to the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC). President William Ruto holds the Kenyan flag before flagging off the 2024 WRC Safari Rally Kenya. Ruto, known to dress per occasion, dumped his popular Kaunda for an attire befitting the event graced by top World Rally Championship (WRC) officials. Dressed in full Safari Rally drivers’ gear, the head of state drove himself to KICC on Thursday, March 28, where he officially flagged off the 2024 WRC Safari Rally Kenya.  One of the officers from the Presidential Escort Unit did not leave his side as he sat in the passenger seat through the drive. Ruto was welcomed to the event by Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports and the Arts Ababu Namwamba, who stretched out his hand to welcome him. “Boss, before you step out, I want you to put this one on,” said Namwamba handing Ruto a WRC-branded cap.
