Mombasa Residents Help Woman Retrieve Car After She Veered Off The Road, Landed in Bush

A woman in Mombasa county has a lot to be thankful for after surviving an accident in Nyali. Mombasa residents assist woman whose car landed in a bush. A video shared on TikTok by Dr Thambo shows the woman’s car deep inside a bush. She reportedly veered off the road after missing the brake pedal and stepping on the accelerator, landing inside the thicket. “She missed death by a whiskers breadth when she missed the brake pedal for the gas at Beach Road,” said Thambo.

Nyali residents help woman out of bush In the clip, residents were captured trying to help her out of the situation. Some tried to clear the tree branches urging her to reverse the car while others watched giving their advice from a distance.  Some could also be heard making remarks about the situation while explaining how the woman got herself in the predicament. “I think she is a learner, she should have indicated that on her car,” one said. “She is not drunk, she is yet to become a fully experienced driver,” stated another Nyali resident.

Social media users react Netizens shared mixed reactions, with some questioning her driving skills while others made light-hearted jokes about the unusual ‘parking spot’. Jayshii: “Why is the man in the video asking if she is a woman? Don’t women know how to drive?” Fran Mwangi: “What did she see that she had to hide in the bush.” Paul Arap Rotich: “Can’t you feel how the car responds when you step on the accelerator instead of the brakes?” Dr. Mugote: “My friend made the same mistake the other day and we found ourselves in an electricity post.”  Vickey: “The county officers are arresting car owners because of parking, she decided to park somewhere she would not be disturbed.
