The rumours reached a crescendo after Kindiki missed the New Year celebrations at the Kisii State Lodge, where Ruto addressed top leaders and highlighted the administration’s successes while welcoming the year with pomp and joy.
Kindiki’s last public appearance was on Friday, December 17, 2024, at the Baringo Cultural Festival and Kimalel Goat Auction, where he reaffirmed his commitment to working under Ruto’s leadership. However, since then, the deputy president has been largely off the public radar, with his one-line New Year message further fueling speculation about a possible fallout.
