Keri Hilson shares experience meeting Kenyan student named after her

US-based singer Keri Hilson has shared her experience after meeting a Kenyan woman named after her. Describing the event as an honour, Keri reminisced,

“A few years back in Nairobi, I met a school-aged girl who told me she was named after me. I think I still have the note she passed me in my keepsake box. ☺️ This is the 2nd encounter of its kind (if I’m not forgetting another 🫣). See, obtaining (and keeping) a spirit of gratitude brings more things to be grateful for. Anyway, what a beautiful honor! Whoever you are, thanks for stopping me & sharing! 🙌🏾🥰

In 2018 Keri visited Kenya. During her visit, Keri gave a motivational speech to the Kenya High students.

Keri was performing live at a concert dubbed Terminal Music Weekend at the KICC alongside other select international and local artists.
