A surfaced video captured the tense moments just before a lorry carrying at least ten passengers was engulfed by the raging waters of River Kwa Muswii in the Kasikeu area of Sultan Hamud. Despite a brief hesitation, the lorry driver decided to forge ahead through the swollen river, with one passenger gripping the tail light for dear life. The passengers struggled to swim amidst the noise of screams from onlookers. However, the story had an unexpected twist. Just before the lorry accelerated, a bystander delivered a warning: “Rest in peace.” The man seemed to know that the lorry stood no chance against the overflowing river. “Maji ni mingi pale hawawezi vuka. Hii itabebwa ngoja uone. Rest in peace, hahaha,” the man exclaimed, serving as a last-minute caution to those aboard.
