Police in Kisii seized bhang worth Sh5.5 million from a homestead in Bochura, Kitutu Chache South Sub-County.
Eight suspects among them a woman were arrested during the Monday raid, Kisii County police boss Abdi Hassan said.
A key suspect scaled the perimeter fence and escaped during the raid.
Rioma police boss Caleb Weza said his team raided the home following a tipoff.
Mr Hassan said more operations will be carried out to rid the county of illegal drugs.
