Naivasha: Bus Ferrying 63 People Crashes Along Nairobi-Nakuru Highway

 

A grisly accident 

At least three people have been confirmed dead following an accident along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. Citizen TV reported that the Wednesday, August 7, morning accident occurred in the Kayole area, Naivasha. The accident happened after the breaks of the bus heading to Tororo, Uganda, failed, ramming into another vehicle which was headed in the same direction. Two adults and an infant were killed on the spot, while several other passengers sustained injuries. Preliminary investigations show the bus labelled ‘blessed’ had 63 occupants who were heading for a burial in Uganda. The injured were rushed to Naivasha Sub-County Hospital, where they are receiving treatment. The wreckages of the vehicles were towed to the police station as traffic officers tried to clear the way.
