Mary Moraa was beaten in the women’s 800m Athlos NYC event by Tsige Duguma of Ethiopia. Duguma clocked 1:57.43 to win ahead of the Kenyan, who crossed the line in 1:58.05. Jamaica’s Natoya Goule-Toppin was third. Duguma, who won the silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, led the race from start to finish, holding off Moraa in the final 100m.
