310 goats, 38 camel returned after Turkana, Gabra peace meeting

 

Turkana and Gabra communities held a successful peace meeting where 310 goats were recovered, as well as 38 camels. 

The peace meeting took place at Gas Anti-Stock Theft Unit (ASTU) Camp.

The peace initiative was spearheaded by Loiyangalani and North Horr Sub-counties security committees.

After the successful peace meeting, the Gabra community also handed over 310 goats to the Turkana community.

The goats had been reported missing and stolen on diverse dates earlier in the year.

The Turkana community also handed over 38 camels to the Gabra.

The two communities then resolved to co-exist peacefully.    BY THE STAR
