When I was pregnant I would drive a matatu-Sabina Chege

Nominated MP Sabina Chege has opened up about her earlier life before joining politics.

The last child of a family of nine said she moved to Nairobi after passing her Form 4 during an interview with TV 47’s Wabebe Experience show.

“One day, I watched the Tausi show on KBC because I was very interested. Back in high school, I joined drama. So one day, I walked to KBC and said I wanted to see ‘Tausi’ people. I said I was acting in school and I was interested,” she said.

“I was picked and I replaced a character called Rehema. So I acted before I joined the university.”

When recounting her trip, Sabina also mentioned that she had driven a matatu while expecting and had even gotten married before enrolling in college.

“When I was pregnant I would drive matatu, napiga squad Dagoretti. (I used to do a few matatu rounds in Dagoretti),” the politician said.

According to the politician, that was her first lover and romance, and she got married before attending college.

“By the way, I got married before I joined university. On that Monday I was supposed to join university, I gave birth on Sunday,” Sabina said.

She said she had not known the guy for a long time

“I was very bold. I think I felt the need to get married because ‘I was too Christian’. I thought that when you are in a relationship you must get married but I did not get married because I was pregnant.”   BY CAPITAL  NEWS
