Omanga, a longtime supporter of the UDA party and Ruto in the 2022 elections, sparked reactions after she praised the ODM Linda Mwananchi Tour in Kitengela, which was held on Sunday, February 15.

What did Omanga say about ODM’s Linda Mwananchi Tour?

The tour attracted thousands of Kenyans who stood in solidarity with former ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna and his team, including Governor James Orengo, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Vihiga senator Godfrey Osotsi, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, and Kisii senator Richard Onyonka, among others.

The businesswoman was impressed by the turnout at the event, suggesting strong support for making Ruto a one-term president.

“Revolution is mandatory… No fear… No retreat… Kaongo should go the way he is going. Kitengela power,” she said.

In a subsequent post, Omanga said, ‘change is inevitable,’ a move that many viewed as an affirmation of her 2027 aspirations.

Previously, Omanga confirmed that she will seek the Nairobi county woman representative seat, a position she narrowly lost in the last polls.

“Many people have been asking what my plan will be for 2027. I will be on the ballot for the Nairobi women representative position. I will be with my people. I hear you, and we are together in this,” she confirmed during a ruracio ceremony in Gatundu South.

Her change of tune has attracted public debate on the shifting political allegiances ahead of the 2027 polls.
