What was Wahome’s last message to mum? “Instead of delivery work, Wahome and others were issued military uniforms and guns. In his last call to his mother, Wahome said the work had become too difficult; he told her they were being taken to the war zone, and that was the last time his family heard his voice. “Today, his young wife is faced with an unbearable reality, explaining to their three children why their father will never come home. The children continue asking her to call him, unaware that the call will never be answered,” said his family. The family is now appealing for support to repatriate his body to Kenya for a dignified burial.
