Ruto presides over President’s Award Gold ceremony

President William Ruto has presided over the Gold Award Presentation to youth under the President’s Award Programme (PA-K).

As patron of the programme, Ruto led the ceremony at State House, Nairobi.

Present at the event was Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya and education stakeholders.

The award ceremony celebrates those who have left a lasting impact on their communities and beyond and provides an inspiring platform to encourage other young people to pursue the path of self-development through discipline, service and contribution to the transformation of institutions, communities and the nation.

The Gold Award represents the culmination of a demanding personal development journey that challenges participants to grow in character, leadership, service and resilience.

The Gold level requires the longest commitment and the highest standards of participation compared to the Bronze and Silver levels.

Participants must complete activities across four core sections: Service, Skills, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journey, as well as a Residential Project.

These components are intended to develop practical life skills, encourage community service, promote physical fitness and foster teamwork and self-reliance.
