KeNHA announces temporary closure of Uhuru Highway sections

The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has announced temporary closure of road sections on Uhuru Highway/Haile Selassie Roundabout in Nairobi.

The closure, KeNHA says, is scheduled in phase intervals between 10 pm and 5 am from Friday, January 23, 2026 to Sunday, January 25, 2026.

The Authority says that the road sections that will be affected by the temporary closure include;

  1. CBD bound lanes
  2. Upper Hill bound lanes
  3. Mombasa bound lanes
  4. Nakuru bound lanes

The closure is to allow for resinstatement of the tarmac.

KeNHA is now advising motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site.
