I Worked Harder Than Everyone Else but Remained Poor, Until the Real Problem Was Exposed

My name is Samuel, and for many years my life was defined by hard work with no results. I was the kind of person everyone described as hardworking and disciplined. I woke up early, slept late, and took on jobs others avoided. I did farming, small trading, casual labor, and even tried partnerships. No matter what I touched, money never stayed. I could earn today and be broke tomorrow. While others improved their lives, mine remained stuck.

What confused me most was comparison. People who were less serious than me were building houses, buying cars, and supporting their families comfortably. Meanwhile, I struggled to pay rent and basic bills. Sometimes I would receive a good opportunity, only for it to collapse suddenly without explanation. Tools would get lost, customers would disappear, or emergencies would swallow all my savings. It felt like poverty was following me intentionally.
