Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has mourned the death of his bodyguard, Corporal John Lwane Lumumba, describing him as family and a dedicated professional taken too soon.
The Speaker noted that Lumumba was more than a security officer to him, praising his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering loyalty in the discharge of his duties.
“Gone too soon, my young brother. The cruel hand of death has snatched you so fast. One minute we were walking together and chatting jovially, and the next I received the devastating news that you were no more,” Kingi said.

“To me, you were not just a bodyguard; you were family. I admired the way you carried out your work with utmost commitment and integrity.”
Kingi extended his condolences to Lumumba’s family, friends, and colleagues, praying for strength and comfort during the difficult period.
