For several years, Samuel, a 34-year-old man from Masaka, Uganda, lived a life he could barely describe. He married his wife hoping for love, support, and companionship, but soon discovered that life with her was completely different. His wife would constantly criticize him, make unreasonable demands, and control every aspect of his daily life.
Samuel found himself cooking, mopping, washing clothes, and doing household chores from morning until night, while his wife spent most of her day chatting on her smartphone.The emotional abuse was even worse than the physical demands. She would shout at him for the smallest mistakes and often hit him whenever she was angry.
