For many years, Michael, a man from Kisumu, lived with a deep sense of pride and control in his household. When his wife brought her young daughter, Esther, into their home, he treated her harshly. He would criticize her, punish her over small mistakes, and often ignored her needs. Michael believed he was teaching her discipline, but in reality, he was creating fear and resentment. His harshness caused a lot of tension in the house, and even his wife started to feel uncomfortable with his behavior.

As years went by, Michael began noticing strange things happening in his life. Business deals he expected to succeed would fail, health problems seemed to appear out of nowhere, and he often felt exhausted and unlucky. Relationships in his extended family also became strained, and he could not understand why life seemed to push back no matter how hard he tried. Michael started wondering if his actions at home were somehow affecting his life.
