Nyakach MP Aduma Owuor accompanied ODM leader Oburu Odinga to Lee Funeral Home to view his sister, Beryl Achieng Odinga’s body. Oburu Odinga was overwhelmed with emotion as he viewed his sister’s body.  The politician, according to reports, was in Dubai, where he cut his trip short to plan his sister’s burial. Aduma shared several photos with the senator at Lee Funeral Home and captioned them: “This evening, we received Dr. Oburu Odinga at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following his arrival from Dubai. We thereafter proceeded to Lee Funeral Home for the viewing of the late Beryl Achieng’ Odinga,” he said.

The politician’s son, Jaoko Oburu, explained his father’s absence, revealed that the senator had gone out to relax and rejuvenate.  “There have been speculations about the health of Oburu Oginga. We have had functions to mourn Baba (Raila), there was also ODM at 20. The party leader has not had time to rest and even mourn his own brother. Last week he took his break and went to Dubai. He will be back,” he said. Oburu’s sister passed away while receiving treatment, and her body was moved to Lee Funeral Home. The news of Beryl’s death devastated the nation, especially since the Odinga family had buried political icon Raila Odinga just six weeks before. Winnie revealed that her aunt died just 40 days after they had finished mourning her beloved father. Oburu was out of the country when he learnt of the news, but he took to social media to pen a touching message. Did Oburu break down at Lee Funeral Home? Photos of the emotional senator after viewing his sister’s body have moved hearts on social media. Oburu Odinga, accompanied by other leaders to Lee Funeral Home.

Oburu was seen deep in thought, and at one point, in tears after viewing Achieng’s body while in the company of other leaders. A man was also seen hugging the ODM boss, comforting him for his loss. Kenyans comfort Oburu Here is what they had to say:  Hon Kiplangat Erick: · “Oburu was completely overwhelmed with grief at Lee Funeral Home, his knees almost giving way as he viewed his late sister’s body. The weight of loss pressed heavily on him eyes swollen, voice trembling, and hands shaking as memories flooded back. It wasn’t just a farewell; it was a heartbreaking moment of a brother confronting the finality of a bond that shaped his entire life.” @GermSeed “Have never seen TOTAL ORPHAN Dr. Oburu cry like this… the pain must have struck him deep in the veins. Losing a sister (Beryl Achieng Odinga) is a wound the heart struggles to carry especially after losing his dear brother H.E Amolo. May comfort find him in this dark hour, and may her soul rest in eternal peace.” @Josh001J: “Dr Oburu Odinga breaks down after landing from Dubai. Mos sana Youth Leaderna!” Erick Ochola: “Asante Mungu kwa kumponya na kumrudisha mzee wetu nyumbani salama.” READ ALSO Winnie Odinga heartbroken as beloved aunt dies on day Raila’s official mourning period ends Judy Johns: “Welcome back home our youth leader, and pole sana kwa kupoteza dada yako.”
