For John, life started with struggle. Growing up in Kakamega, Kenya, he came from a poor family where money was always scarce. From a young age, he had to help his parents make ends meet. By the time he was a teenager, John had already started selling fried cassava along the roadside. Every day, he woke up before sunrise, prepared his small stall, and spent long hours selling in the scorching sun. Despite the hard work, he barely made enough to survive, and the future seemed bleak.

John tried many things to improve his life. He attempted small businesses, took odd jobs, and even tried saving every coin he earned. But every effort seemed to fail. Shops he opened collapsed, investments turned into losses, and every opportunity seemed blocked. Friends and family began advising him to give up and accept that life would always be hard. John, however, refused to quit.
