Probe into the murder of boda boda rider Anthony Otieno has revealed the get-away vehicle used by the suspected killers.

Exclusive CCTV footage obtained by Citizen TV, and which is in the possession of the detectives probing the murder, shows that the two suspects escaped in a Nissan Note vehicle.

The footage shows the delivery rider arriving at the Meridian building, taking the elevator to the fourth floor. He is seen making a phone call, apparently trying to locate the client, to whom he had been sent. He carries a blue bag containing a delivery package.

Moments later, a man is seen exiting the room via the staircase, still holding the bag. At 12:02pm, another individual descends quickly. A third man appears, half-naked, rushes downstairs while carrying a package. The trio seem visibly shaken as they hurriedly zipped the bag.

A Nissan Note vehicle arrives, registration number KDL336E. Two of the suspects enter the car. Meanwhile, a lady wearing a cap arrives and is left with the suspects’ luggage.

Rewinding to a day before November 17, 7:22am: one of the suspects is seen entering the building with the same bag, accompanied by another man.

At 1pm, the suspects are joined by a woman dressed in an outfit seen worn by one of the suspect the following day.

November 17, 06:46pm: the lady is seen again, carrying the same bag leaving the building using the elevator to the ground floor

Charity Muthoni Michoki, the owner of the rental room where the murder occurred, was the first to discover the crime. According to her statement, she received a call from phone number 0108577041 requesting to rent the room for one month.

November 18, 9:30am: Michoki received a message from the guests stating that they would settle the bill by 4pm. During a routine inspection, she encountered one of the men who insisted she wait until evening. Suspicious, she decided to remain around the building.

Michoki later saw the men leaving with a bag. She confronted them, demanded for the payment, seized the bag after they failed to pay. She then proceeded to inspect the room.

Upon arrival, she found the door locked. After unlocking it, she discovered blood stains on the floor. Alarmed, she called neighbors.

Inside, they found a man’s body hidden under the bed. His hands and feet were bound with rope, and a piece of cloth stuffed into his mouth.

The deceased was identified as the delivery agent who had brought the suspects an iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Investigations are underway to uncover the identify of the two men who rented the room and the circumstances surrounding Antony’s death.

The detectives are conducting toxicology and CCTV analysis to unravel the identity of the two suspects

So far, three individuals have been interrogated, including Antony’s wife who sold the phone on WhatsApp and the room’s owner. The phone shop owner is also expected to be questioned.

This incident occurred just meters away from where another gruesome murder of Starlet Wahu Mwangi happened.
