Weatherman Predicts Sunny, Dry Conditions in Most Parts, Rainy in 7 Regions for 7 Days

The Kenya Meteorological Department has released its seven-day weather forecast covering November 18 to 24. Weatherman Predicts Sunny, Dry Conditions in Most Parts, Rainy in 7 Regions for 7 Days Source: Getty Images In a media brief on Monday, November 17, the weatherman said most parts of the country will be sunny and dry. However, Kenya Met indicated that six regions are expected to receive rainfall in the next seven days. “Most parts of the country are likely to be sunny and dry. However, rainfall is expected in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Coast, the South-eastern lowlands and Northeastern Kenya,” Kenya Met said.

Daytime average temperatures of more than 30°C are expected in the Coast, North-eastern and North-western Kenya as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands, the Rift Valley and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley Night-time average temperatures are expected to be less than 10°C in some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley and in the vicinity of Mt Kilimanjaro. The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin and Rift Valley In the counties of Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Baringo, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, West Pokot, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night. However, there is a chance of morning rains as well as afternoon and night showers and thunderstorms occurring over few places. North-western Kenya In Turkana and Samburu counties, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.

The Highlands East of the Rift Valley In Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka-Nithi and Nairobi Counties, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night.  However, there is a chance of afternoon showers occurring over a few places. North-eastern Kenya In the counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night. However, there is a possibility of morning rains and afternoon showers occurring over a few places. The South-eastern lowlands Kenyan Met said Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta counties, as well as the inland parts of Tana-River counties, will experience sunny intervals during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night. However, morning rains as well as afternoon and night showers are likely to occur over a few places. The Coast In the counties of Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale and the coastal part of Tana River, sunny intervals are expected during the day, with partly cloudy conditions at night. However, morning and afternoon showers are likely to occur over few places.
