The Principal Secretary, State Departement for MSMEs Development, Hon. Susan Mang’eni, joined the students and faculty of Kibabii University for their Career and Cultural Week 2025, held under the theme ; “Navigating modern challenges through unique cultural diversity and talent”

Beyond the beauty of our cultural expressions lies another essential culture that defines us together as a nation; the Culture of Entrepreneurship.

With Kenya’s economy being MSME-driven, contributing about 40% of our GDP and creating over 77% of all jobs, I challenged the students to embrace entrepreneurship as a mindset.

PS Susan Mang’eni encouraged the Students to look beyond employment and instead find ways to enterprise their professions, using entrepreneurial thinking to transform opportunities within their sectors into sustainable jobs and businesses.

The Government remains steadfast in its commitment to empower young people to thrive through initiatives such as the NYOTA Project, the Hustler Fund, the Uwezo Fund, and the County Aggregation and Industrial Parks, all designed to promote innovation, manufacturing, and value addition across Kenya’s priority value chains.
