The Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Rebecca Miano, has announced the official send-off of Miss Pearl Rowena Indana Rowe, who will represent Kenya as a Tourism Ambassador ahead of the upcoming World Miss University Pageant in Cambodia.
The announcement followed a cordial meeting held at the Cabinet Secretary’s office, where Miss Rowe received the Ministry’s blessings to promote Kenya’s rich and diverse tourist attractions.
Miss Rowe, the reigning Miss University Kenya 2025, will take part in the World Miss University Pageant set for December 17, 2025. Her participation underscores Kenya’s commitment to showcasing its cultural heritage and world-renowned tourism offerings on a global platform.

At just 23 years old, Miss Rowe stands out as a remarkable young ambassador embodying the dynamic spirit of modern Kenya.
She is not only a national beauty queen but also a fourth-year Computer Science student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) — an inspiring combination of academic excellence, innovation, and cultural grace.
As Kenya’s official tourism envoy, Miss Rowe aims to use the international stage to promote the diversity and vibrancy of Kenyan culture, highlighting the country’s traditional attire, music, arts, and wildlife conservation efforts.
Through her participation, she will spotlight Kenya’s stunning landscapes and position the country as the premier destination for eco-tourists and cultural explorers.

Cabinet Secretary Miano lauded Miss Rowe’s appointment, stating:
“It is with immense pleasure that we endorse Miss Pearl Rowe as our tourism ambassador at a significant global event. She represents the modern face of our nation with her ambitious, educated, and connection with her cultural roots. Miss Rowe’s mission perfectly aligns with our strategic objectives to promote Kenya through authentic narratives. Her journey to Cambodia is a national project of cultural diplomacy. We are confident that she will eloquently tell the Kenyan story, captivate the world, and inspire a new wave of visitors to experience Magical Kenya.”
Accompanying Miss Rowe at the courtesy call, Uriri Member of Parliament, Hon. Nyamita, praised her achievement and potential, saying:
“As leaders, we have a responsibility to nurture and spotlight the next generation of ambassadors who carry Kenya’s story to the world. Miss Rowe’s journey is not only a personal triumph but a reflection of our nation’s youthful brilliance, innovation, and cultural pride. I am deeply proud to support her as she represents Kenya on the global stage, showcasing the very best of who we are as a people.”

This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to innovative, youth-driven tourism marketing strategies that fuse technological advancement with Kenya’s timeless cultural and natural beauty.
Through Miss Rowe, Kenya projects a compelling image — one that appeals to today’s global audience seeking authentic and experiential travel.
The Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife is calling on all Kenyans to rally behind Miss Pearl Rowe as she carries the nation’s flag to Cambodia, sharing Kenya’s story of beauty, purpose, and promise with the world.
