Mary Kilobi, who has been keeping a low profile since giving birth, stepped out for the first time on Saturday, October 11. Francis Atwoli left residents of Tana River in stitches while talking about why he loves Mary Kilobi. Kilobi and her husband, COTU boss Francis Atwoli, welcomed their son, Samuel Samson Atwoli Jnr, in March. The KTN presenter hid her pregnancy until she gave birth, and her best friend, gospel singer Anastacia Mukabwa, shared her pregnancy photos, congratulating her. Anastacia revealed that Samuel was Kilobi’s answered prayer, after seven years in marriage. Where is Mary Kilobi? After giving birth, the mother of one has been busy focusing on her child and has been off air for quite a while.
On October 11, she accompanied her 76-year-old husband to Tana River county to a public event hosted by senator Danson Mungatana. When given a chance to speak, Atwoli lovingly introduced his younger wife, Kilobi, leaving the crowd cheering. “Nimetembea na mama mdogo…bibi yangu nataka mmuone. Nisipokuwa na polisi mnaweza kuninyang’anya haraka sana. Anaitwa Mary Atwoli. Huyo ndio ananiangalia. Anajua ni saa gani nataka kupata dawa na ni saa gani ya chakula na schedule yangu ya safari ni lini na ni wapi (I came here with my younger wife. I want you to see her. If I don’t have security (police), you will steal her from me. Her name is Mary Atwoli. She’s the one who looks after me. She knows what time I have to take medicine and what time I have to eat, and about my travel schedule),” he said amid cheers. Kilobi, who was seated behind her husband, dressed in a stylish maroon bazin free dress and a curly wig, stood up and waved to the crowd.
Atwoli appeared to be justifying why he married Kilobi, who is twice younger than his age. He likened his first wife to a sister, saying that because of her age, he wouldn’t be sending her to serve him. “Kwa ajili mama mkubwa ni kama dada yangu tena hata naweza kuona aibu kumtuma aniletee maji ninywe (Because my first wife is like my sister, I even feel ashamed to send her to bring me water to drink),” he added. Below is the video: Netizens react to Atwoli’s video Atwoli’s speech cracked ribs, and below is what a section of Kenyans on social media had to say: Booker Mudhai: “Interesting man speaking his mind live live 😁😁.” Alex Mwenda said: “Na watu wanaclap😂 enyewe we are Africans. Clapping for a politician just because he has wives, wish he was mentioning of complete projects.” Shirleen Injira said “I love the way he loves her❤️.” Iryne Rynee said: “Hadi mweshimiwa anaglow 🤣🤣.” Faith said: “I think he found someone who understands him and he is happy to show the world.” Welly Litunya said: “Mbona hatembei na bibi mkubwa?” Welly Litunya said: “Mbona hutembei na bibi mkubwa.”
