At least six people have been confirmed dead following a horrific accident along the Kericho-Kisumu Highway. Kisini disclosed that investigations are underway to establish the circumstances of the fatal accident. Videos and images of the accident, widely shared online, showed the white lorry leaning on its side with damage to the windscreen and the doors. Mukaa Deputy County Commissioner Buxton Mayabi said the accident involved a Probox and a truck at the Kalimbini area near Sultan Hamud in Kilome Subcounty. Mayabi disclosed that two people sustained serious injuries and were rushed to Machakos Level 5 Hospital for treatment.
