Two people died on Wednesday while three others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident near Ting’ Wang’i junction along the Siaya-Bondo road in Siaya County.
Two motorcycles, each carrying a rider and two pillion passengers, collided head-on, and eyewitnesses say one of the bikes was overtaking a bus when it rammed into the oncoming one.
A woman traveling from Bondo towards Siaya, and the rider of the other motorcycle, died instantly at the scene.
Meanwhile, two passengers and one rider were critically injured and rushed to Siaya County Referral Hospital, as one passenger escaped unharmed.
