Residents of Kiamuringa village in Embu County were left in disbelief on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, after a man they buried two years ago walked back into his family’s compound alive and well.Neighbours gathered in large numbers, some whispering prayers, others holding their mouths in shock, as forty-year-old Daniel Muriuki calmly greeted relatives who had believed they had mourned and buried him in 2023.
According to the family, Muriuki had been involved in a grisly road accident along the Embu–Meru highway in May 2023. The police had called them to identify a body found near the scene, saying it matched his description.
