The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has appointed Dr. Gilda Odera as its Vice Chairperson.
In a statement, SRC acknowledged Dr. Odera’s appointment as a strategic step in enhancing the Commission’s mandate to set and review salaries for public officers.
“The Commission congratulates Dr. Gilda Odera on her appointment and wishes her success as she undertakes her new role,” SRC said in a statement.
Dr. Odera, who is the nominee representing the Federation of Kenya Employers, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts Degree in Leading Innovation and Change from the University of York St. John in the United Kingdom.
She also holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration, specialising in Leadership and Management.
With over 30 years of experience in senior management roles, Dr. Odera has served as a chief executive, board director, and policy leader in various capacities.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Odera served as the first female National President of the Federation of Kenya Employers.
