Comedian Eddie Butita is accompanying President William Ruto to the United States of America. Eddie Butita (i) celebrates inclusion in President William Ruto’s US delegation. US President Joe Biden will host Ruto. The state visit will kick off on Thursday, May 23. William Ruto’s visit to US Biden said the meeting would celebrate the long-standing relations between Kenya and the US. Thank you, His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto, for choosing me to accompany you to the United States Of America State Visit hosted by the USA President, His Excellency President Joe Biden. The fact that I’m part of the head of the state delegation is a clear sign, and we are happy that the creative industry is part of the conversations we are going to have during this trip,” he wrote. Ruto to meet Hollywood stars As we previously told you, Ruto will meet top Hollywood stars during the tour. Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Dr Korir Sing’oei disclosed that the head of state’s visit to the US was the first state visit to the US by an African president since 2018. Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange, Sing’oei disclosed that meeting Hollywood stars was part of the president’s itinerary. He said Ruto was aware of Kenya’s creativity levels and was committed to offering the support he could to grow the film and entertainment sector. The PS confirmed that Ruto would visit Tyler Perry Studios in Georgia, Atlanta, and meet with the proprietor, Tyler Perry.
