Faces of military officers killed in Thursday’s chopper crash

The tragedy of Thursday’s chopper crash in Marakwet East casts a heavy shadow over the military community, leaving families and friends mourning.

Behind the uniforms and medals were individuals who dedicated their lives to service, courage and duty.

They were someone’s spouse, parent, child or friend; each with their own unique story and dreams.

In honoring the lives and distinguished military career of these fallen heroes, President William Ruto has declared a three-day mourning period starting Friday, April 19, 2024.

During this time, the Kenyan flag, that of KDF and the EAC will fly half-mast in the country and Kenya missions abroad.
