Kenya’s Greg Snow made an excellent recovery from his second round two over par, to post an impressive six under par 66 in the third round, going into Sunday’s fourth and final round of the 2019 KCB Karen Masters golf tournament at the par 72 Karen Country Club course.
The round gave him a three rounds total of nine under par 207 where he was tying for eighth place with England’s Steve Surry – who also fired
66 in the third round where at least seven teams were still on the course battling out led by Portuguese star Stephen Ferreira.

“I tried to control my game today, making sure I hit as many greens as possible and save for the ninth where I dropped a shot, my game was solid,” said Snow who appeared at easy and with more confidence than during the first and second rounds.
“The course is very good and fairly easy to score and there is no reason why we should not shoot good scores. I will try and relax tomorrow and see if I will be able to get a good score,” added Snow, who thanked Johnnie Walker for supporting him and Dismas Indiza to play in the Masters.
“I wish all of us can have such support.”
Before picking up a bogey at the ninth, Snow had birdied the first, second, fourth, and seventh, and at the 12th, 15th and at the 18th. At the par five-12th, Snow pushed his driver to the 14th fairway though he hit a solid low shot to about 80 yards to the green, for a well deserved birdie.
Snow finished two shots better than David Wakhu, who despite dropping a shot at the 10th, managed to birdie the 15th though he dropped a shot at the 18th for the day’s two under par and a three rounds total of seven under par 209.
He tied 14th at the time of writing, as long hitter Dismas Indiza fired four under par 68 with five birdies, three of them coming at the back nine’s 12th, 16th, and 18th having also dropped a shot at the 10th after picking up two birdies on the fifth and sixth holes earlier.
Riz Charania posted three under 69, just a shot away from Simon Ngige on level par 72 for two under par.
It was not a good day for Justus Madoya, who shot very unusual score for him (80). He was at the bottom of the field of 65 players. John Wangai was on one under par total and amateur Simon Njogu and Jeff Kubwa were on one over par total going into the final round.
